Nature's Canvas Tours offers private, small-group sightseeing tours to stunning off-the-beaten-path locations in the mountains, rainforests, and along the coast of North Western Washington. As local PNW experts, we'll take you on an intimate journey to showcase the breathtaking natural wonders in our own backyard.
All trips are for individuals 12 yrs and older.
8-10 hr day for up to 5 adults total
Leave from your home and head to North Cascades National Park. This trip takes you to Diablo Lake Vista Point Overlook then back home. You may add two additional stops to be included in this trip from the a la cart menu that equal an additional 2 hours total.
Up to an 8 hr day for up to 5 adults total. Leave from your home and head West towards Baker Lake in Concrete. Enjoy 3 hours of exploring, hiking or swimming on your own then head back home. Additional hours can be purchased in the a la cart menu.
Up to 6 hr day for up to 5 adults total. Leave from your home and head up to the beautiful foothills of the Cascade Mountains to look for eagles as they migrate to our waters for the salmon run. We will take you to some known areas where You can also book through Skagit Eagle Tours to enjoy a boat/raft tour down the Skagit river. This will be an additional cost through that company as we are not partnered with them. We just love them and enjoy their tours.
These side trips can be added to any of the main trips above
Spend up to an hour exploring some of the 10 trails through second-growth forests, open fields and along the scenic Skagit River.
Spend up to 1 hour wandering through the beautiful 670 acres of ancient old-growth forest that are estimated to be 400 to 600 years old. This park offers 6 trails to choose from ranging from 0.5 mile to 2.8 mile
Enjoy up to an hour on this short trail along Clark Creek to where it joins Jordan Creek an the Cascade River. You are likely to see salmon returning to spawn from October to February. During that time you have a great chance of seeing the great bald eagle sitting in the trees waiting for his next meal

Best Season: Mid May to late October
About: Stetattle Creek trail offers an easy stroll along the streambank. You will be immersed into a diverse forest community including hemlock, cedar, bigleaf maple and red alder. Take the whole hike or go as far as you want and then retrace your steps back to the beginning.
Type of hike: Out and Back
Distance: 2.9 miles
Time required: up to 2.5 hrs
Elevation Change: 80 foot gain
Best Season: Mid April to early November
About: Enjoy this long trek through old-growth conifers. You will get periodic views of Diablo Lake's turquoise water. You will follow along the stream, through an old forest of Douglas firs and Western Hemlock.
Take the whole hike or go as far as you want and then retrace your steps back to the beginning.
Type of hike: Out and Back
Distance: 3.6 miles
Time required: up to 3.5 hrs
Elevation Change: 630 foot gain
Best Season: Mid April to early November
About: This wheelchair-accessible trail offers a gentle climb through the trees to reach the top of a wooded point above Diablo Lake The trail zigzags its way upward through new and old growth then opens up at the point above Diablo Lake where you get beautiful views of the turquoise water.

Choose from one of the below short hikes:
LADDER CREEK FALLS 0.4 mile loop trail showcases the power of nature. It leads you across a foot suspension bridge. There are a few steep steps with handrails.
TRAIL OF CEDARS 0.3 mile gravel loop meanders along the banks of the Skagit River through stands of old growth forest. This walk begins at the suspension bridge in Newhalem.
RIVER LOOP TRAIL 1.8 mile loop leading through a variety of forest growth to a peaceful gravel bar with sweeping river

Eagle Haven is located in the foothills of the North Cascades.

If you consume alcohol you must be 21yrs old and drink responsibly and do not become intoxicated. Should you become intoxicated you will be asked to find a new ride home at your own expense. No refunds will be given in this situation.
If you want to stop and eat your own packed lunch Lake Shannon offers a beautiful location with great views. You will need to provide your own packed lunch. We will provide chips, water and a cooler. Not to take more than 1 hour.
If you want to stop for a meal instead of bringing your own packed lunch we have a few suggestions for you. We will drive you to the restaurant of your choice. You will cover the cost of your meal. Not to take more than 1 hour.
